Homemaker/Companions provide the friendship and comfort
an individual may need when he or she is unable to leave home. It
may also be the needed support that allows the individual to remain
safe and healthy at home. Homemaker/Companions help with home management,
including planning and preparing meals, grocery shopping, light
laundry, and light housekeeping, assists with personal care such
as bathing and grooming, provides companionship and emotional support,
escorts to appointments. Homemaker/Companion care is not covered
under Medicare.
